Today, the King's Day is celebrated in Amsterdam and the city comes alive of happy party people. On this day the whole city turns into one big market, where you have the opportunity to sell things you no longer need or want to get rid of and sell for a cheap price. As last year, I'm selling cinnamon buns. I also chose to bake chocolate cookies this year, who doesn't love chocolate :). Last year I actually had both Finnish and Swedish customers who were happy to get to eat cinnamon buns they are used to from home. Cinnamon buns are sold in cafes in Amsterdam, but they are usually made of puff pastry. And it is not at all the same thing :)

ReplyDeleteVarför hette dagen Queens day förra året och Kings day i år?
