I have several recipes for cheese pies here on the blog, but new for today's pie is the dough. Now I do not remember where I found the recipe, but if you have seen this recipe somewhere or maybe one of my readers is the inventor of this recipe, so please tell me and I'll link to you. I tend to usually make this dough when making pie, but I really liked this one too. Quark makes the dough moist and not dry and crumbly. When I make cheese pie I choose strong and flavorful cheeses and mix them together. Serve the pie with fresh greens on the side.
Krämig Ostpaj
pajdeg:
1,5 dl mandelmjöl
2 msk kokosmjöl
0,5 msk fiberhusk
1 nypa salt
1 ägg
1 dl fullfet kvarg
fyllning:
2 ägg
1,5 dl grädde
150 g riven ost
1/4 tsk salt
För pajskalet blanda ihop alla ingredienser i en skål. Låt stå 5 minuter. Tryck degen i en pajform med löstagbar kant. Förgrädda pajskalet i 175 C graders ugn i 10 minuter.
Blanda alla ingredienser till fyllningen och häll i det förgräddade pajskalet. Ev. kan man toppa med t.ex. tomatskivor. Grädda pajen i ca 30 minuter.
Creamy Cheese Pie
crust:
1.5 dl almond flour
2 tbsp coconut flour
0.5 tbsp Fiberhusk
1 pinch of salt
1 egg
1 dl quark
filling:
2 eggs
1.5 dl heavy cream
150 g grated cheese
1/4 tsp salt
For pie crust mix together all ingredients in a bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes. Press the dough into a baking dish with removable rim. Pre-bake the crust in 175 degrees C oven for 10 minutes.
Mix all ingredients for the filling and pour into the pre-baked pie crust. Eventually you can top with eg tomato slices. Bake the pie for about 30 minutes.
